Crock jug with corn cob stopper and finger handleThis jug has a merchants advertising on the side L. Goldsmith & Co.Dealers inGeneral MerchandiseWest Point, Nebr.Stamped on the bottom is: RW S Co.This jug is 9 ½" high and the bottom is 5 ¾" in diameter, grayish in color with a corn cob stopper. It has a finger handle like an old whiskey jug. I don't know what was actually in it, if anything ever was?It is pitted in several places and has a chip on the lower right side of the advertisement.We used to live in Wisner, NE and a friend was leaving the area and gave this jug to me (in the early 1970's), I am retired and downsizing tfore the reason for this being on auction.Thank YouPlease Note--- If this jug looks familiar it is because I had it on auction last week but at the end of the bidding the listing was cancelled by eBay. Message per eBay: " The results of this listing have been cancelled due to bidding activity that took place without the account owners authorization" It is sad that this type of activity has to take place. In order to be fair to all bidders eBay asked that I start over so... we are. I appreciate all the interest the last time around.
