Another Vintage RadioOffering From OldRadio Cr az y Crosley Model 54 "New Buddy"** Repwood Cabinet ** Offered at auction is this super nice Crosley Model 54 "New Buddy". This is one of a series of repwood cabinet designs Crosley made in the early 1930s. The repwood material, a composite of sawdust like material and early epoxy, was moulded to create very unusual and intricate cabinet ornamentation. This tombstone 15.5x15.5x9.5" and weigh approximately 25 lbs. The repwood cabinet has been nicely refinished. The cabinet structure is tight and strong. The grill cloth and knobs areoriginal, as well as the Crosley seal. The extra clean 5-tube chassis has not been tested and is sold as not working. The large original tube shield is still present. If you are looking to complete your set of Crosley repwoods or want to add an unusually design radio to your collection, Buy It Now! This radio is unrestored and is sold electronically "as is".
