CROSLEY, VICTORY MODEL, SIX TUBES, AM-SW, TRANSFORMER TYPE AC CHASSIS, C. 1943. A number of radio makers came with red, white and blue patriotic models during WW2. . This was Crosley's entry, and they don't show up all that often. Like many WW2 Vets, this one shows a few battle scars. We thought the week of July 4 would be an ideal time to offer it. The radio plays well on AM. Short wave seems to be alive, but was not receptive when we tried it. The finish is not original, and t a number of veneer repairs. Grill cloth is also a replacement. Original back is still intact; big celluloid dial lens is quite good. If you're not familiar with this model, take a close look at the spectactular star spangled dial. It's red, white, blue and gold, with the words "Crosley Victory Model" at top center. Measures 16" x 10" x 8"NOTE ; WE DO OUR BEST TO DESCRIBE EACH ITEM HONESTLY AND ACCURATELY. HOWEVER, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT WE HAVE NOTED EVERY IMPERFECTION. TFORE, EVERYTHING IS SOLD AS-IS, AND ALL SALES ARE FINAL. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING, PREFERABLY BEFORE THE LAST DAY OF AUCTION. THANKS.
