This is a very nice pair of French medals from the early 1960s. It is a mounted pair of the Croix de la Valeur Militaire (Cross of Military Valour) with one citation and the North Africa Commemorative Medal with the bar for Algeria. It is on an original mounting and comes with the corresponding service dress ribbons. This is typical of the awards that were received by French soldiers including the Foreign Legion and Paratroopers who were fighting in Algeria in the 1960s prior to it being granted independance. This set is a gold star citation, which was the second highest level. These are nice original bronze pieces from the 60s, not modern replacements. Difficult to find like this and with the ribbon bar as well. Buyer pays US$3 for postage. Registered mail outside the UK costs a further $7 if required. I am always willing to combine postage on multiple wins. I take payment by Paypal only but if that is really impossible for you let me know in advance of bidding and we can see if we can work out something.
