For your consideration I have a 1959 Crown TR-555 transistor radio. This rare and much sought after model is in excellant cosmetic used condition and needing 2 small repairs. 1st. The black battery wire has pulled off the board and it looks like a small piece came off the corner of the board,not sure. 2nd. There is a small indentation in the gold V mesh at the top, there is no crease or sharp indentation, looks easy to push out if the board was out. Battery compartment is very clean,and I dont see anything that looks like it has been messed with. There is some typical very fine lite scratching that doesnt show unless held at certain angles to the light. When I got this radio a couple years ago I put in a battery to test and after a couple minutes it picked up 2 stations weakly and was getting stronger when I was putting the back on and pulled the wire off. (yea I cried) Not being a skilled repairman I did not mess with it..I know better! After a question I found a small tight 3/16" crack on the top right rear corner of the case. I dont see any other cracks or chips. The radio is slighty used,1959 model,made by Crown Radio Corp-Asahi Radio Mfg. Size 2 1/2 x4 x 1". 9 volt. Original leather case included.
