CRUMMLES Art Nouveau design enamel trinket box. Excellent Condition!!

The box is bulge based in shape with a hinged lid. It is decorated with an Art Nouveau design....an abstract depiction of a Rose . The entire box is hand painted and manufactured in England,by hand, using traditional methods. The bezel is of polished gold effect . The base is a solidly coloured dusky mauve and the top, as shown, is based on a rose/mauve theme on a cream background with a tiny accent of green. The inside is white with a further representation of the rose design, this time in a pale green on a rose pink background...beautifully painted on the inner lid. The base bears Crummles insignia which reads "HAND PAINTED IN FINE ENAMEL. Made in England by Crummles and Co." Crummles was later bought and taken over by Staffordshire Enamels. This trinket box is in excellent condition, no chips, scratches or flaws but it does not have its original presentation box. It was bought directly from the manufacturing workshop in Staffordshire. This is a retired piece and bought in 2000. It is noted as used in the item description but has only ever been kept in my collection ... not actively used. It measures 4.5cm in diameter and is 3cm in height. No presentation box available. I am selling my collection and so please look out for my future listings of many other genuine SE and Crummles pieces. THANKS.
