This is the long-awaited Crye Precision Jumpable Plate Carrier. These are not available on the Crye website and are therefore incredibly difficult to come by! A wonder of modern engineering, this PC weighs in at a mere one pound, but has more features than competing carriers in the 3-7lb range. Made from a variety of materials including 500D and 330D Cordura, stiff mesh, Multicam-printed 500D webbing and a new stretchy fabric that I haven't seen before. As with all previous Crye products, the innovation and workmanship that went into making this product is clear.
Features: The cummerbund flap can hold 3 30rd mags with either bungee or velcro retention; alternatively the pouches can be velcroed shut to provide a more stable pouch platform. The cummerbund is adjustable to fit a wide range of torsos, and has elastic to allow for a snug fit that can expand with heavy breathing. The lightweight shoulder covers have hydration tube/comms wire routing straps. There is a built-in admin pouch in the front with velcro and elastic retention. The package includes two webbing straps to allow for use of the plate carrier without the cummerbund. Finally, the cummerbund itself has stiffeners in each row that maintain the structure of the cummerbund while remaining flexible. I have been waiting almost a year to add this piece to my collection, and when I first opened mine and examined it, I knew the wait had been worthwhile. This is a rare gem in the tactical nylon market and is issue equipment for Tier-1 operators of all services. The final photograph is the actual item you will receive. It is sealed in its original packaging and includes the carrier (size medium), two webbing straps and the manual.
