we have a very nice Punch Bowl with the Stand in an unknown pattern and an unknown maker. I could take a wild guess and say it was a J.D. Bergen piece. Similar patterns are called Buzz Saw, Star Burst, Whrill Wind, etc. I visited several different Web Sites to find out any imformation I could about the set and found nothing. Now I'm wondering if perhaps this maybe rare. I did find out that early glass makers (1875-early 1900's) only attached paper lables to most of thier work and the consumer would more than likely remove them. Condition varies and is very flexible because of the age of a piece and the major hit on value would be CRACKS. This is a very heavy, thick glass, I scale it out at 1/2 inch thick. Has very deep cuts of 3/8 inch in some areas. The bowl alone weighs almost 7lbs 11oz. The pattern is very intense, one that you just have a hard time taking your eyes off. The glass is very clear and has a very nice ring to it. When I thump it, it will ring for at least 7 seconds. As you can see from the pictures the center of the Buzz Saw sticks out. The bowl measures 10 inches across and is 4 inches deep. Height when on stand is 9 1/2 inches. Condition: Bowl - has 1 broken saw tooth and 12 to 15 very minor flea bites around the saw tooth edge nothing really major. Has scuff marks around bottom of bowl w it sits on base and spins around (spins very smoothly). NO CRACKS. Condition: Stand - I would say 50% of the saw tooth have either a small chip or a flea bite. The opening w bowl fits into has minor chipping in 2 areas. I have been told that the bottom of the stand can be refinished ( machined down to eliminate 90% of chips and flea bites ). NO CRACKS. DON'T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY. I ship USPS Prority only and Insurance is required. This item because of the way it will be packed to ship will have a $7.00 handling fee. I can only estimate the final shipping weight at around 14 - 15lbs. Cost of Insurance will depend on final selling price. Please wait for final invoice it may cost less actual rather than estimated.
