For your consideration... This is an awesome piece of carnival glass produced the Australian Crystal Glass Company during the early 1900's. To the best of my knowledge and research, this is a large ruffled compote in the Butterflies and Waratah pattern. The color is Marigold; the base is clear. The exterior pattern is called Hobnail and Cane. The compote measures approximately 8 1/2" wide and is 6 1/2" high. This is a heavy piece of carnival glass. This bowl is in perfect condition, no chips or cracks. Just the normal markings common with the old carnival glass. This piece is part of my mother's collection (she's been collecting for many, many years). It would be a welcome addition to any collection. The starting price of this piece is below what my mother paid and well below its current value. Please keep in mind that I am not an expert on glass. I've done research to ensure that I list the item as correctly as I can, but I do make mistakes. So please ask questions! Shipping cost is determined based on weight and destination.
