Made in the USA, some Eames-era mad men must have really had a lot of fun with this Culver "Valencia" vinyl ice bucket out by the pool and on the boat (the pattern-work is a little faded by the sun, but it does not detract from this very rare piece's beauty and collectability)! The Culver Company started making these in the 1950s, and the fading and corrosion on the handle, along with the stitching of the vinyl, are tell-tale signs that this is indeed one of the very earliest ones they produced in the company's original Brooklyn factory. I'm selling a pair of authentic, period Culver ice tongs with this piece. We've found that our friends and family members really delight in using this retro-elegant glassware at our dinner parties and other get-togethers. My Culver glassware collector's manual is finally available with over 630 color photos, including those of 132 known Culver patterns (many with dates of production also known)!
