Up for auction is this exquisite Crown Devon cube tea set made for Cunard. It consists of a set of three pieces: the tea pot, a creamer and a sugar. The tea pot is a little over 3-1/2 X 3-3/4 X 3-3/4 inches; the sugar is 1-1/2 X 2 X 2inches; the pitcher is 3 X 2 X 2 inches. I purchased this over 35 years ago but am now downsizing. I am not a collector; I just buy what I like! This appealed to me for its art deco-like appearance and its cubic form. Very functional form, I think, for use on an ocean-going vessel with minimal storage space! This set has an unusual appearance and from the research I conducted, Crown Devon was one of a number of manufacturers supplying Cunard with these tea sets during the time of the Queen Mary steamship. I welcome any readers of this listing to provide additional information and knowledge they may have.

The tea pot and the sugar are both surface-crazed. However, t are no chips, through-cracks, or stains on any of the pieces. I have had them sitting in my living room display cabinet since I acquired them. The gold painting on the rims and tea pot top is in perfect condition. T is very minimal wear on the bottoms of any of the three pieces. The tea pot and creamer both have "Cunard Crown Devon Fieldings Made in England" on the bottoms; the sugar has no printing on the bottom. However, it is an obvious part of the set.

I welcome any questions, although as I stated earlier, I know very little about this set. The buyer will be responsible for insurance; shipping costs to be determined depending on the preference of the buyer.
