For sale is an outstanding illustration artwork from ES Curtis the legendary native American photographer.This piece along with two other ES Curtis 1914 illustration lithographs come from a prominent estate home collection out of Westchester new York.This is an original illustration lithograph from 1914 featuring a piece from the Land of the Headhunters. It is printed on a very very fine thin Japanese style paper.ES Curtis created a film in 1914 titled land of the headhunters and I am told by the estate that this was one of the original illustration pieces that was created from that series.The illustration almost looks as if it is hand created with graphite pencil but to my knowledge and to my eye it appears that it is probably a very very well done lithograph or perhaps a photogravure for which E S Curtis was well known for.This piece measures 8.25" x 6.375".This pieces is titled:"ATSAWATENOK HOUSE FRONT"This piece deserves a frame and matting to be displayed as the work of art that it is.
