We are pleased to be offering today one of the nicer pair of solid mahogany custom formal style pineapple poster beds that we have had in a long time. Dating from the 1920s, these beds are outstanding and stunning. They are true modern day box spring and mattress size being 39 inches wide and 74 inches long. The cool thing about this set is the height of the posts which are 66 inches high. They are all solid mahogany with hand cut early pineapple finials, fluted reeded columns that are joined together with a solid mahogany shield and hand cut pineapple carved finials on the posts.The outside dimensions of the beds are 42 inches wide, 66 inches high to the posts, 40 inches high to the shield on the foot board and 48.5 inches high to the head board. They are finished in a dark reddish brown stain finish. We have cleaned them up and re-sprayed them to renew the dark reddish brown patina as they still have the age marks left in which adds charm and character. It has the original rails and overall it is in awesome shape. They are a fantastic pair of beds. It is very rare to find beds of this quality. We are pleased to be offering them to you today. They are all set to go into the home. It even shows the hour date of finish on the old clear coat on some of the posts w the finish has crackled a little bit.
