The blade is made of Damascu s for ged of 109 5HC and 15N20 n ickel with 200 layers. Th e knife in the phot os i s a "pa ttern photo ". Each knife will have a uni qu e blade and handles but will look 99% like this knife. The handles are hand crafted of genuine Buffalo horn. The horn has been hand ground and polished to fit each knife perfectly . The horn is na tural and will have unique qualities to the animal and none are identical. There might be some "character" on the scales. Some whites, grays, o r other natural anomalies will be apparent , but these are not damage . Buffalo horn is not o nly beautiful , but it is strong and will not "s hr ink" over time. There is a fully functional saw blade on the top of the blade that is 2 5/8" long. There is a custom "Zig Z ag" finger notch on the t op of the knife's spine , that has been hand filed. This notch i s for yo ur thumb in order to created torquing pressure when skinning o r cutting. The blade has been hammer forged and has character to it and it is not a "perfect" las er cut Chinese looking knife . This is the real thing and it is hand made, no two are identical. The photos are a stock photo of the look of this knife.Th e knife is 9 5/8" overall, 5 1/ 4" blade, 3/16" thic k at the sp ine for stren gth.
