Beautiful Custom Built Knife Cabinet to Display, Protect and Store Your Knives and related items. The Knives and Related items in the Pictures are NOT INCLUDED in this auction and are for demonstration purposes only. Description: This Cabinet is constructed from beautiful Birdseye Pine. Birdseye pine is very difficult to find and when you do find it it is usually only a small portion of the board. The wood you see in this cabinet represents only about one third of the wood needed to cut out enough sections of Birdseye Pine to build it. The Cabinet back is 1/2" thick Furniture Grade Birch Plywood. The Cabinet top, crown molding, and cabinet door are hand carved and finished with oil stain. The entire cabinet is sealed with six coats of hand applied and rubbed lacquer. The Cabinet Door is attached to the cabinet with two Solid Brass Von Morris Hinges with Antique Finish. The Cabinet Door Pull is Faux Antler from Cabellas. T is a custom push/pull dowell to keep the cabinet door closed and it comes with a lock should you desire to use it. T is NO GLASS included with this cabinet due to concerns about shipping charges. The glass should cost you about $20 and is easy to install once you have the cabinet. I beleive the Pictures will show you the form and function of this Cabinet.Dimensions: Cabinet is 40 1/2" Wide, 9 3/4" Deep, 36 1/2" Tall. Weight 80 pounds.Swinging Knife Rack: The Knife Rack is constructed of Select Clear Furniture Grade Pine. It is attached to the frame of the Cabinet with a full length Piano Hinge. The top shelf is slotted to hold approximately thirteen FIXED BLADED Knives with up to a seven inch blade. T are six shelves to hold FOLDING BLADED Knives. Each shelf is 23 1/2" long so you can determine the number of knives they will accomodate. Three of the shelves are 3/4" deep, and the three other shelves are 7/8" deep. T is another shelf 1 1/2" deep and 35" long on the cabinet back behind the handles for the fixed bladed knives. T may also be room for more folding knives on the shelf beneath the fixed bladed knives. The Knife Rack Back is 3/16" thick Furniture Grade Birch Plywood. The ENTIRE KNIFE RACK SWINGS OPEN to reveal a hidden storage area. T are two shelves and the cabinet bottom to store your knife related items. T is also a rack to vertically store your knife sheaths. The Weight of the Cabinet, plus the weight of the open glass door and loaded knife rack require that this Cabinet Be Securely Anchored. I have included a 4 1/4" Wide Piece of Finished Pine pre drilled on 16" centers. Mount this Board to the Wall Studs, Set the Cabinet on it, then Secure the Cabinet Bottom to this board and the Cabinet Top to the allready found wall studs and you are ready to go. This Cabinet is Solidly Built from Beautiful , unique, and I might add expensive materials. The labor to build it was very time consuming. You will love the finish and the cabinet will age to a beautiful Amber Honey Color. The Cabinet is my own Design. I have sold a similar cabinet on Ebay and is the Buyers Feedback: "Absolutely Awesome. Seller Great to work with. One of my Best Ebay purchases. Thanks." Shipping: I have talked with UPS, Fed Ex, and DHL. Their fees are similar. Cost is $150.00 + to Pack, Insure, and Ship Cabinet to lower 48 states only. Local Pickup is fine, and I am willing to deliver Cabinet to local Shipper if YOU want to arrange for Packing, Insurance and Shipping.
