A totally unique, very functional carry knife, custom made from 3/16 " high-chromium 440-C stainless steel. The overall length is 8 1/2", with a blade length of 4.3". The tight-stitched Maurice Johnson sheath is a pouch type, and shows lots of carry time, including an ink stain on the back of the flap. The knife show little, if any wear, and doesn't appear to have ever been sharpened. Tom Enos created this one-of-a-kind beauty in 1973, called it his "Model 10", and it was the 135th knife he ever made. All that information is actually etched on the blade. The very interesting, free form acid etching on the blade was done by Harold Lafler who also made knives for Randall at one time. In 1972, Tom worked for Randall Knife in Orlando, and also worked for the Johnson Sheath Company, who made sheaths for Randall at that time. He is probably the only person who worked for those two outstanding people. Tom retired from knife making a few years ago, so his older knives are becoming quite collectible. I pictured the knife along with a Randall Made Tri-Athlete model that I have for sale on another auction. You can readily see the more rounded edges on the handle of the Enos knife. Please take a look at my other auctions for some really unique items. I will sell to qualifirf overseas bidders. Tom called this knife his Model 10 "Backpacker"
