My name is Rita Meese and I am a full time reborn artist. I have been making these sweet, realistic babies for many years and have adopted them to families all over the world. I take pride in each baby created here, and only the highest quality materials are used. It is my goal that each baby that leaves the nursery be an heirloom that can be handed down and enjoyed for generation s. This auction is for a reborn doll done from the Blinkin sculpt by Donna Rubert. She will be custom made to your specifications. You get to choose gender, name, hair and eye color, as well as skin tone and gender of the anatomically correct full vinyl body or cloth body with tummy plate. The pictures shown here are of dolls that have already been adopted to families all over the world. This will give you an idea of what your baby can look like. To achieve the most lifelike skin tones I use Genesis Heat Set Paints. I do not use pre-mixed paints, but prefer to mix my own color “pallette" for each baby created, making her one of a kind. This paint is applied in many thin layers to obtain a realistic complexion. Each layer of paint is actually baked into the vinyl, so it will never fade. Subtle veining and blushing will be applied to all her creases and dimples. Many hours will be spent getting complexion just right. Y our baby will have full limbs and a custom made, fully jointed, doe suede body with a tummy plate, or a full vinyl body. She will be stuffed with fiberfill and weighted with tiny beads in her head, body and limbs for a very realistic feel. Her head will need to be supported just like a real baby. She will be so cuddly, you won’t want to put her down! I never use sand in any of my babies so they can travel overseas without any problems. Your baby will have the most amazing hair!! Her hair will be hand rooted a few strands at a time with high quality mohair in the color of your choice. This process is very time consuming as it is done with a very small needle. The results are worth it!! It will be sealed inside with waterproof glue so the hair may be gently wet and styled. I recommend a baby comb and brush as well as baby hair conditioner. Her hair will be beautiful, and look like it is growing right out of her scalp. These babies are also adorable bald. Her nose will be gently opened and backed with dark felt for added depth and realism. The eyebrows will be painted on in fine, delicate strokes. Wispy eyelashes will be applied to frame her beautiful eyes, and I will hand paint her delicate lower lashes. You choose your baby’s eye color. Your baby will be given a manicure and pedicure for that just clipped look. The nails, as well as the mouth, will be glossed and sealed. The mouth will have just a bit of a moist look. I take great pleasure in creating these beautiful, lifelike “Little Darlins." Each one of them finds a place in my heart as I watch them come to life. The truly comforting, joyful feeling that comes with holding a baby in your arms is a remarkable and blessed experience. Holding this little one will bring back those wonderful emotions.
