I’ve got a few weeks of items to sell off. These are items that no longer fit into the current layout. I will be taking next week of in honor of the Super Bowl, but will return the following week. AEX 1347 – Proto 2000 PS-2-CD 4427 Cuft Covered Hopper This car began life as a kit painted for North American Freight Car. However, having had a ton of these I wanted to have some fun, so I reweathered it, from what I had originally, and changed it up to match photos of The Anderson’s fleet. I think these are in potash service or lime or something white, it really doesn’t matter to me, I just wanted to have some fun. These cars are all streaked white. I rarely do up a “modern” car, so this is about as modern as I get. This car has a number of upgrades for a complete list see below. Truth or Dare? Truth. What does this mean? It means that this custom car is a reasonably close or dead match to a prototype. You can readily find photos of it on line or in books. You will rarely find a bogus car from me, if I have one, I’ll claim it as a “Dare.” There sure seem to be many caricatures of equipment out there (40’ steam era boxcars with modern graffiti?!
