This is an exciting little set. Tumbleups are a great addition to any collection but to find one in colored cut to clear is particularly nice. This one is cranberry cut to clear. THe set is comprised of the small bedside bottle and the matching tumbler. These were used to keep water bythe bedside at night and for sick people. Sometimes these are also called eye-opener sets as people were said to have kept a little shot of their favorite alcholic beverage by the bed. While cut during the American Brilliant Period this set was most lilely cut by Val St. Lambert. Done in the same method and style as the American glass and often the same quality. Val St. Lambert did colored cut to clear glass as well or better than anyone. Personally I have a few examples of their glass in my collection. Beautiful work!. The set is 7 1/2 inches tall and the bottle is 4 3/4 icnhes diameter. Great quality blown blanks. The pieces are in excellent condition with no chips or flakes. Each winning item will be carefully packaged for safe delivery. Particulaly fragile items are generally double boxed with packing between the boxes. This is the only method for safe delivery of cut glass. Winners of multiple auctions will receive a shipping discount if not free shipping on the additional items as long as items can be packaged together. Returns are accepted for items not as described.
