I believe this stands for Central Vermont Railway or Railroad..The lantern measures 9 1/4" high.T are some dents in the tank.The clear globe is in good condition.The lantern has the original chain handle.The bottom is also marked "Made In United States Of America".The wick turner is marked " E. Miller & Co. Meriden Ct. Made In U.S.A.".The lantern was most likely used by a conductor of the Cenrtal Vermont Railroad, and marked by him as such..
