Cypraea Fallax from Cape Naturaliste Western Australia. Dived at night in 22 metres of water grazing on sponge fresh last year. Cypraea Fallax are rarely offered and now is your chance to own one. This Fallax has issues and is definately not a gem. When photographing the shell I did not realise that there were a few surface anomalies on the dorsum the camera picked it up and it does look worse in the pictures than it actually is. There is also a slight colour variation as seen in the photos , the same location as the surface faults. It is a full adult does not have any chips and has the beautiful line on the side of the shell very distinctive of the Fallax. The size is around 29.4mm please feel free to ask any questions.
