A lovely modified diamond-shaped Czech brass button with a transparent foiled green glass cabochon surrounded by crystal, AB, and aqua marquise rhinestones in varying sizes; all stones are prong-set. It measures about 1 1/2" and is in very good condition. This is a new button, as can be seen by the unfinished back - the soldering has not been plated over as you would normally expect to find. The stones are all of high quality and may in fact be vintage, as well as the settings, but it has been recently assembled without the attention to detail you usually see in vintage Bohemian or Czech pieces. This is a beautiful button, and once in use, the lack of finishing on the back will barely be noticeable (or you can possibly paint the back yourself, with one of the many metallic finishing products available today). This is a great accent piece for clothing, purses or other decorative accessories, not to mention jewelry.
