Offered is a VERY RARE TALL LAMP made in the "mushroom cap-bulbous body" style. This very colorful LAMP is 21" high (9 1/2" for the body and 11 1/2" for the shade bracket. The LAMP base is 4 1/2" in diameter and black in color. The colorful background is a bright red-orange decorated in a very attractive fruit and flower motif. The bottom of the LAMP is stamped with the circular blue J Mrazek mark as well as 642 K , representing the rare"K" pattern. The LAMP is in working condition wired for U.S. electrical standards. T is no shade as those fragile items rarely survived 85 years of usage. Many duplicate shades can be used according to your desire. While t are many types of Czechoslovakian pottery, the Peasant Art Industry variety founded and formulated by Joseph Mrazek, circa 1918 to 1933, is one of the most recognizable forms evocative of rural folk art. A serious student of P.A.I. will after a long study recognize that t are many motifs used, and that the "K" pattern is among one of the rarer types. P.A.I. lamps are quite rare in good working order and would make a beautiful statement in your home. Condition : EXCELLENT - Only on the black base is t a small recolored chip and it is not at all noticable. Weight: Unboxed this lamp weighs 2 3/4 pounds . While this set will be well-packed, insurance is recommended. This item will be shipped via US Priority Mail in a large box....no extra charge for materials.
