This is a very nice shape Czech pre World War 2 helmet. This model was used by them , the Slovak Republic as a German Ally on the Russian Front and by the German's themselves. This has the full padded liner, most are ink stamped and dated 1936 as is the shell. The correct Czech brown color is still present on inside of helmet. Flat black paint on exterior may indicate use by the Germans in the Luftschutz or Volksturm. Helmet still maintains correct split chinstrap from the pre- war days. A good solid clean helmet.
