This is a very interesting Czech violin made in the first half of 20th century and labeled Fr. Taborsky, Prague. It is a full-size violin with the back measuring at 35.7 cm. The overall physical condition of the instrument is very good with a barely visible bass side saddle crack repair as well as old center seam repair on the back. T is a small separation between the rib and the back on the lower bout near button, which can be easily glued (the ribs are not bulging out). In order to be playable, this violin will require a saddle, a bridge, strings and pegs. I would also replace the chin rest and tailpiece as those parts are very old. Like a number of great luthiers including Guadagnini and Nemessanyi, Vitacek had worked in several cities of Austro-Hungarian Empire including Prague, Pribram
