RARE ERPHILA DOG This colorful Czech Art Deco pottery Rooster pitcher was imported to the U.S.A. by Ebeling & Ruess Company in 1930's. The mark found on the bottom is "Erphila" (or E&R Phila), which is the acronym for the above Importer. The pottery was mostly manufactured in Europe by Ditmar Urbach part of the goat, rooster, cat, toucan, ram, fish, parrot, elephant, etc. collection. CZECH FIGURALS ARE HOT RIGHT NOW! SO, SNATCH THIS ONE UP! ATTN: I'M A BIG FAN OF INCREDIBLY DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS (and pics)RELATED TO CONDITION!! SO, PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE CONDITION. REPEAT AFTER ME, THIS SELLER GIVES GREAT DESCRIPTIONS... CONDITION: (SEE DETAILED PICS TOO) NO CHIPS! But, are the trouble spots I see. Above the paw t are a few visible lines that look like crazing. The lines may be hairline cracks, but looking on the inside the lines are not t Also, when running fingers over the lines, you feel nothing. So, crazing could be what we are seeing. The Rim of the Nose has some mild paint loss as well as some shmutz (dirt?) or residue (similar to what is inside). I haven't tried to rub it off, leaving that to you. His left ear has a bit of red paint loss (a scracth perhaps). The Handle has a a few spots of paint loss. Under his jaw on the side, he has a couple of faint crazed area's.
