I think that this ovoid jug is a salesman's sample from the pottery of D. Goodale. Possibly Hartford, CT. Reeded applied handle. No repairs, crazing, cracks. T is a very old 1/3" round chip on the lip, a small stone pop, and a 3/8" stack mark but these in no way detract from its integrity! It is double stamped D. GOODALE. 8" high and 3 1/8' across the base. Nice grove around the neck. Insurance is optional on all stoneware but it is highly recommended. I double pack and use every precaution but sometimes the carriers like a challenge! Note that the pictures are part of the description so you know what you are bidding on. Also, I post feedback only after I have received feedback from the buyer. I believe that no sale is complete until both seller and buyer are satisfied. Thank you for your interest in stoneware and for your time in checking out other stoneware I have listed.
