Welcome to D2 Designs. Up for auction is a black coral sea fan in a open shadow wood box design. It casts a natural shadow on your wall, beautiful! The process of creating this work of art includes hand cut poplar wood, mitered corners, hand sanding, rich brown staining, and mounting the Sea fan. The sea fan is very sturdy in place. Wire was used inside the fan and drilled into the wood, it's never moving!! The frame is stained brown the color was done with several layers and finished with a coat of poly to keep it protected for years to come. The sea fan is naturally black, but to make it stand out more I painted it in a high gloss black. This work of art is gallery quality. It is my version of "The Tree of Life".
