My burgeoning dachshund collection has to be thinned!! is a dachshund salt & pepper set that is vintage California pottery.

This salt & pepper set is hard to find -- it has its original foil sticker on the top which says "UNIQUE POTTERY SAN CLEMENTE CALIFORNIA". These salt & pepper shakers must be from the '50s, as the bottom of the pepper shaker has someone's name written in pencil with the date 6/12/56. The "bum" part of the set is the pepper shaker, which has one hole; the front end of the set is the salt shaker, which has two holes. Holes are w the piece meet, so that they are not visible to the eye when the set is displayed together. T are no stoppers. California pottery is highly collectable, and these shakers are in pristine condition. I can find no chips, cracks or crazing. These vintage salt & peppers would make a welcome addition to any dachshund salt & pepper collection. Please remember that these are a vintage pieces, not NWT.
