F.S.A., Evening Series, New York, Robert Carter & Brothers." Rare complete 8 volume set of Daily Bible Illustrations by Dr John Kitto. Volumes are: VOLUME 1 - ANTEDILUVIAN AND PATRIARCHS VOLUME 2 - MOSES AND THE JUDGES VOLUME 3 - SAMUEL, SAUL, DAVID VOLUME 4 - SOLOMON AND THE KINGS VOLUME 5 - JOB AND THE POETICAL BOOKS VOLUME 6 - ISAIAH AND THE PROPHETS VOLUME 7 - LIFE AND DEATH OF OUR LORD VOLUME 8 - THE APOSTLES AND EARLY CHURCH Beautiful marbled boards with brown leather spines and corners. Spine with gilt text, 5 raised bands, and decorative fruit/leaf imprints. See photos - covers and edges rubbed with general wear, foxing of pages, minor inscriptions on endpapers, but an amazing set in great condition for 159 years old. All volumes very tight and secure, front tissue papers intact. Pages vary 400 - 500, and size is approximately 7-3/4" x 5-1/4
