This is a very beautiful DAIMYO quality HAKAMA in excellent condition with crisp, deep pleats and is wrinkle-free, ready to wear. Purchased in Japan in the 1950's it was carefully stored away and has never been worn. This is a gyoto, or undivided type hakama. The undivided type is favored by many who wear their hakama over a kimono, because this allows the kimono underneath it to hang freely and evenly, giving a much neater appearance.
