For bid is a vintage feather and prairie grass picture, circa 1940's, from "Dakota Prairie Pictures". It is signed by Ida Bisek Prokop and states that it was made in the Prokop Studio in Lidgerwood, North Dakota. I believe Lidgerwood was her first studio; this is most likely one of her earlier pictures. Feathers used are female pheasant and chicken. Weeds & grasses used are love grass, manna grass, poppy top, and dill. In excellent condition, clean with bright colors. The charteuse and fuschia colored grasses that sprout from the bowl are especially vibrant. The grasses and feathers look like they are in great shape and have not loosened over the years. Original wood frame with glass has a gold and black sticker on the front that reads "Dakota Prairie Pictures". The backcover on the frame is intact and covered with the original paper explaining the background of feather pictures. Signed "I. Bisek Prokop" in the lower left corner on the front mat area. The frame measures 7" x 9".Item will be well-padded and bubblewrapped. I combine shipping for multiple purchases whenever possible. PAYMENT: Paypal Only . Please pay within 3 days of winning bid.
