This Black 5 was built using low melt solder and spray painted black all in four nights in 1978, in 'spare' time during night shifts. Not ideal model building and I was so disappointed with it I put it away and never touched it again. Over the years it has been damaged, mainly during travel back from overseas, but could be coaxed into a good working model with some TLC I feel. The damage is mostly cosmetic - the front buffer beam assembly is loose, the cab roof has come off and the cab sides are slightly bent. The white metal frame extension on the front is missing on one side, as are the cab steps on the same side. The pony truck has no fixing to the frame, and the engine to tender drawbar is missing. The driving wheels have surface corrosion, and I haven't tried the motor since 1978. Postage to UK only
