This is a Vintage Dan Mercer Ware Bowl Made In Honor Of The Local 259 American Federation Of Musicians In Parkersburg, West Virginia. The A.F. of M. of Parkersburg was chartered on December 11. 1902 and this bowl made sometime there after. This is a cool old keepsake bowl made by one of the most well known potters of this area, the late Mr. Dan Mercer. This bowl is in good condition for it's age with only a couple of very small chips in the rim. It is obvious the writing on the bowl was written by Dan himself before the bowl was put in the kiln as it is covered by glaze and it matches that of the signature on the bottom.
