This is a precision die cast model from the Danbury Mint of the 1958 Chevy Impala ~ Street Machine. 1958 marked the introduction of the lush Impala. This vehicle offerred size, comfort and performance. The lines of the Impala had Cadillac-like styling. This vehicle was restyled in 1959, making the 1958 version all the more sought after and collectible. This vehicle is an outstanding example of great American auto design in the 1950's that has been stylized into a street machine that would blow the doors off of every other car on the street. The color is a Purple and Black "Flip Flop" Paint Job. The paint job changes when viewed from different angles. This vehicle is bright and shiny and is in MINT condition. The doors open and the vehicle has operable steering. The interior features a contemporary billit steering wheel with detailed dashboard guages. Under the hood is a detailed V-8 Engine. Notice the stainless steel rocker moldings, special stock wheels. The Impala won over the public because of its good looks and superb engineering that it became the top of the line for Chevrolet in 1959. This car dominated the streets with pavement pounding power.
