Danbury Mint Classic Car's 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible This piece is an EARLY release from Danbury Mint. The detail on this piece from the time period is excellent. This piece was part of my Father's collection and is being listed as new as the piece is in excellent condition. It comes with the original packing and box, both is very good condition as well as the COT. The Piece has not been out of its box in several years and only taken out for these pictures. This piece is extremely clean and in new condition. Several high quality pictures have been taken to show you the great condition of this 23 year old piece. This piece was retired on 12/31/95 never to be produced again. This is a great Danbury Mint to have as it is an early release from the company and would fit into an avid collector of vintage Diecast, vintage Danbury Mint, or just the normal Ford Mustang fan. I feel very confident to say that you would be hard pressed to find another Vintage DM Mustang like this one in better condition. The following is a customer comment on regarding this 66 Mustang classic "If you can be objective enough to rate a diecast for its time period, this one has to be five stars. Danbury deserves special plaudits just for making a 1966 version of this marque! Does anybody else? There are enough '64/'65 Ponies around to rival the '57 Chevys in sheer, unending numbers. But that is not the only thing that is special about this very early DM offering. It's just plain beautiful in a deliciously understated fashion. The pale blue interior contrasting exquisitely with the off-white body is downright elegant. The usual DM quality build is there with all the fine details of THAT period in place. It needs make no apologies when displayed with the higher tech models currently being offered. If you pass on an opportunity to acquire one of these on the secondary market (if you can find one) you will be cheating yourself." These are hard to find with the original paperwork, original owner with the box and paperwork all in great condition.
