In this year of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, this is a fascinating reflection from the time of the Coronation as celebrated by so many of the favourite characters from the pages of the ever popular Dandy!Issue No.602 dated 6 th June 1953. Celebrations begin on the front page with Korky getting his own grandstand view of the procession. Freddy the Fearless Fly also makes the parade, but poor old Wuzzy Wiz misses his coach and Hungry Horace loses out on his invitations to two street parties. But Desperate Dan makes it from Cactusville to view the event from the clock tower of Big Ben!The comic is in Very Good condition - slight shading stains and faint fold marks to bottom corners of front and back outside corners. Firm spine and good edges with no tears. Printing and colours bright and clear.Very scarce example of comic history relating to a very special occasion.
