Listed is a Danish Modern Style Eames Era SET OF 6 DINING ROOM CHAIRS in solid walnut designed by KIPP STUART for DREXEL FURNITURE CO. The two armchairs each measure 22 inches wide, 32 inches tall, 18 inches front to back and 18 inches tall from floor to seat. The other four side chairs each measure 19-1/2 inches wide, 32 inches tall, 18 inches front to back and 18 inches tall from floor to seat. This set is from the DECLARATION LINE, circa 1960, and is in very good condition with age appropriate wear in the form of typical bumps and bruises of little consequence. All chairs are freshly recovered in black wool felt and look terrific, although, one chair is slightly lighter in color as if is was next to a window and became somewhat sun faded. We think this high quality set is one of DREXEL'S MOST ATTRACTIVE, with much attention to detail and SUPERIOR construction i.e., through tendon fitting of the back rests.
