MINT - Danish Modern Rosewood Desk, Eames Era This is an exceptionally clean Rosewood desk stamped "Made in Denmark" and is probably from the early 70s. It has resided with one family for approximately 35 years and has been very well cared for. I am calling this MINT condition with the exception of one small chip from a solid rosewood drawer pull on right hand side. This chip is hardly noticeable (see close up photo) and does not detract from this wonderful desk. The desk makes a simple and elegant statement that will fit into almost any space. The color is a deep dark reddish tone with strong black grain. The right side of the desk has three drawers and the left side is set up for filing. The back side has a shelf area for books or ..... what have you. Matching Chair: I have a VERY cool matching Rosewood chair that can be seen in one of the photos. It is basically a modified Ant Chair design. This chair WILL NOT BE SOLD in this auction. It will be sold in a separate auction, after this auction closes, but the winner of the desk will have first chance at the chair. The desk does not dismantle and only the legs can be removed for shipping. While this is a nice medium size desk it can still be shipped via FedEx or UPS. SHIPPING: Below please find estimates for shipping to the areas stated. The price below includes box, packing materials, insurance and shipping via FedEx. UPS is a little higher.
