Gorgeous 196o's lounge chair by Selig, Denmark. This chair has wonderfully rich walnut with a fantastic patina. All the sculptural elements that make them special. This chair's suspension system untilizes rubber straps with a metal flange that is "welded" to the rubber with a 45 degree angle. We've imported these brand new, original straps from J. M. Berking & Co, Denmark. Picture #8 shows the old (white) strap next to the new (gray) strap. They ingeneously fit into a narrow slot cut into the wood (most are damaged-this one's is not). Notice the brass fittings and attention to detail in the joinery in pic #4. This chair is completely ready for the cushions of your choice. It measures 30" x 30" and is 28" tall. The seat (with a cushion) is approximatley 15" off the floor. Amazing vintage condition. Incomparable. A Danish Modern classic worth collecting for a lifetime. Happy Bidding.
