Up for auction is another early colored pharmacy drugstore bottle that I've had for a few years now, this one is from Missouri. Its in a super nice bold shade of teal green. A little history on this Company: Woodward Faxon & Co established themselves as a wholesale drug supply house in the year 1878 and were operating at 511 Delaware in Kansas City, Missouri. Now, this location is in the upscale River Market or River Quay area of old downtown Kansas City !!! I believe this Company was originally located in the Lawrence, Kansas area. These Woodward Faxon bottles have always been popular among collectors, that is, when you can find one offered for sale. Embossed on the front in a circular slugplate is " WOODWARD FAXON & CO " - " WHOLESALE DRUGGISTS " - " KANSAS CITY MO ." in normal block letters, " W.T. & CO, 8, USA " embossed across the base. Its a mold blown bottle, seams end down on the lower neck area. Height is about 5 inches, round in shape, slightly flared hand-tooled prescription lip, diameter is about 1-7/8 inches. I believe there were actually 4 different sizes produced, this being the second to the smallest made.
