The TK Collections bring to you this wonderful attic find. The item I have to share with you today I am selling for a gentleman who has recently retired and is finally cleaning out all of the treasures that his family has collected over the past 100 + years. Many items I will be listing are items that have been passed down through the last 3 generations, many dating back into the the 1800's. This particular tin was part of a collection of many tins I will be listing. This wonderful Whitmans Sampler tin is dated 1923 on the hinge which I tried to show in one of the pictures. As you can see the interior of this tin is in as good of condition as the outside and is be a very rare item to add to a tin collection. The measurements of the tin are 9 1/2" long x 7 1/2" deep x 2 1/2" high T is an adorable picture on the front of what appears to be a mother and daughter in a loving embrace with the name MADAME LEBRUN printed on the lower portion of the picture. This may be the artist who created the lovely portrait but I do not know for sure. In the lower left hand corner it says WHITMAN'S CHOCOLATES and the lower right corner states the weight of the chocolate as 2 lbs 5oz.
