American Legion Lighted Globe Terrific light-up one-piece milk glass globe with the original American Legion decal and etched around the outside with the words, " Unit of West Seattle Post No. 160. " The brass plaque attached to the base is dated 1929. The ingenious base is hinged in the middle to allow replacement of the bulb. These globes resembling those used on gas globes of the same era were used during the installment of new members and are considered rare. This one is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and measures approx. 9" in diameter. As nice as they come.Please see my other auctions for a set of American Legion signs originating from the same chapter as the light-up globe.
