DISCS: (2) HIXON CONVENTON HALL, TAMPA , FL , JULY 2, 1974 A newly unearthed master reel source of an early date on the U.S. leg of Bowie’s tour in support of the ‘Diamond Dogs’ LP, at Tampa’s Hixon Hall. On July 2, 1974. Features a great backing line-up including David Sanborn, Michael Kamen, and Earl Slick. The intimacy of the hall is reflected in the acoustics. Tasteful cover with era-specific aesthetics, and sash OBI (in Japanese). Nice complement to the recently released Bowie catalogue in Japanese mini lp format. Beautiful original sleeve artwork, full color glossy sleeve with original b/w photographs on back capturing perfectly the design ethic of the period –the screen printed discs incorporating era-appropriate Bowie aesthetics and design. A highly unique item for a DB fan or any serious collector, and a nice complement to the Japanese Mini-LP CD re-masters of the Bowie catalog.
