DAVID CAMPESE RUGBY GROGG AUSTRALIA ’S FAVOURITE WINGER 25 cm character grogg of Australian winger and world cup winner David Campese. This grogg was produced to mark Australia winning the Rugby World Cup in 1991, this is printed on the front of the grogg (see pics) This grogg is in excellent condition with a hollow structure inside. Purchased from the grogg shop in Pontypridd. Base signed by the creator, John Hughes, and dated 1991 (see pics) In 1991 Campese had perhaps the high point of his career, being named Man of the Tournament for the World Cup. Campese was one of the most dangerous players in World Rugby - a tricky unpredictable winger that opposition wingers had nightmares over ! He is best remembered by many as from being part of an era when it was acceptable to try things and take risks. With highly structured game plans and so much at stake in the modern game, this is not common anymore. It is ironic as he was the highest profile of the Australian players who won the 1991 World Cup.
