Condition / Notes: This is the second volume only of this two-volume work by one of the most important early historians of the United States. The antique volume has paper-covered boards with heavy moisture marking and rubbing. The boards are detached, and there is significant chipping and loss to the spine cover. The binding is split in several places. The pages show moderate age toning and foxing. This work includes a fold-out frontispiece plan of Charleston, with some separation along the folds.
