Limited Edition Print by David Snyder. "Shelby LAX" is Dave's recreation of Carroll Shelby's facility at the Los Angeles Airport that he opened in January 1965 and operated until the production of the Shelby Mustang was moved to Michigan in 1967.Carroll Shelby produced some of the most memorable cars in automotive history. In this scene staged in March 1966, we see both 289 and 427 Cobras, the Mustang GT-350 and also waiting for delivery are a few GT-350H for Hertz. In March 1966, Shelby prepared cars for Ford are being loaded onto the transporter headed for Sebring. Loaded on the Transporter is the Ford X-1 Roadster #1 that won the race driven by Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby. The #2 GT40 MKII is being pushed out of the hanger to be loaded. In addition to the cars, Dave added vintage commercial aircraft from 1966 operated by Delta and TWA.The print is reproduced from the original painting by David Snyder. The image measures 15" x 34" on 20" x 36" acid free stock. The print for sale is number 710 of 950, signed by the artist, and is in excellent condition. As an authorized David Snyder dealer, I have stored this new print flat and it has never been framed. The print will be shipped rolled in a heavy mailing tube and sent insured by Priority Mail.
