Up for auction is a beautiful David Winter Cottage.....COB'S BAKERY, from Porridge Pot Alley, dated 1994, and is retired! This piece has never been displayed , though stored for years, and the outer box definitely has wear! ALL the paperwork is intact, and only just removed from the packet for this picture. The piece measures 5 3/4" high, 4 1/4" wide, and 5" deep. The piece itself is absolutely adorable...as anyone familiar with David Winter knows! The "John Hine" hologram with the cottage/mouse design is on the bottom, and the piece states "Hand made and hand painted in the Studios of John Hine Limited, Great Britain." The paperwork includes the Certificate of Authenticity, the Invitation to the Collectors Guild. Also included in the Porridge Pot Alley/Cob's Bakery packet are: License to Trade issued to "Mister Thomas Cob Esquire", Cob & Co. Bakery history, How Porridge Pot Alley Got Its Name, Cob & Co. Bakery--Things to be observed in the well making of bread, and last, a Cob & Co. Bakery Baking Roster--advising on the breads to be made on each day. After very careful scrutiny of the piece, I did notice on the green/gray pointed roof's edging, minor wearing of the paint, as well as what appears to be an imperfection or a damage? in the production/painting? Difficult to tell...but definitely does NOT take away from the beauty and
