This is the chance to buy a Rochester Castle and the Paint Your Own Mini-Rochester version that was offered only at the 1996 David Winter Rochester Carnvial event. The carnival was held at Rochester, England during the Dickens festival weekend for the Christmas holidays. The Rochester Castle for the carnival had snow on the top the castle. This is one of the regular production Rochester Castles, #2,129 of 2,750. It comes in the original box and with a generic Certificate of Authenticity. John Hine had left the company before this event took place, tfor, only a generic certificate was available. The Mini-Rochester Castle was available to those that wanted to do a paint your castle at the event. It was not available to dealers. For Rochester Castle, David sculpted the castle keep, the front of the Dickens Musuem and the gate house near the castle into one piece. While in Rochester, it's easy to see the fushion of the three separate buildings The Castle measures 6" X 5 1/2" X 8". The mini Rochester measures 3" X 2 1/2" X 3". It comes from a smoke free home and has never been displayed.
