David Winter Miniature Scene “At Rose Cottage”. All pieces are in great condition and come with the original box. The cottage scene comes with a certificate of authenticity. The scene was released in 1993 and retired in 1996 and is part of the David Winter Scenes Collection. David Winter and John Hine Studios created the scenes to introduce the people who live in David Winter Cottages. The scene is hand made and hand painted in the studios & workshops of John Hine Ltd in Great Britain, and the bronze figures are handcrafted exclusively for John Hine Ltd in the United States. This small diorama includes four hand-painted bronze figures. The figures were created by Cameo Guild Inc. using the "lost wax process". It takes 35 steps to paint a David Winter Scenes miniature figurine by hand. A special glaze is then applied to protect the detail of each figure. No two miniatures are ever precisely alike. What makes this set unique is that each of the figures in this set is numbered in sequence and is a proof set. The bottom of each piece shows its number in the series: Son – Number 249 Daughter – Number 248 Mother – Number 246 Father – Number 247 The scene measures 4.25 x 3 x 3 inches and the figures are approximately 1 inch. The pieces were well taken care of. Kept in either a glass display case or in the original box. Non-smoking
